Overview

Full-time, benefited position working 80 hours per pay period. Days of work are Monday - Friday 8:00am - 4:30pm, some events will require evenings and weekend work.

 

The graphic and web designer is responsible for conceptualizing, designing and production of all visual and web creative aspects for JRMC, its Foundation and internal communication. The designer is responsible for ensuring the JRMC brand and standard style guide are enforced in all designs.

 

The graphic and web designer will develop work that impacts print, web, direct mail, newsletters, posters, signage, brochures, booklets, patient education material, email campaigns, social media and other web advertising.

Responsibilities

Graphic Design

  • develops and presents creative concepts
  • oversees any necessary production, including bids and on-site quality checks
  • coordinates with outside agencies, art services, printers, etc. to complete projects
  • communicates proactively to requestor regarding timelines, status and budget of project
  • adheres to timelines and expectations set by project
  • collaborates with internal team members, photographers, contractors and other resources as needed
  • abides by and maintains the real-time accuracy of JRMC ID Standards
  • oversees JRMC aesthetic and image selection
  • coordinates recurring photo collection to maintain library of campus and the delivery of care
  • maintains and further develops the accessibility of self-serve collateral
  • provides final approval of artwork developed by other JRMC employees using available templates
  • develops graphic titles and themed elements for events
  • prepares social media layouts, photo frames and other support across several social networks
  • proactively offers ideas to support the success of JRMC
  • remains current on new and emerging design and media trends. Report them to team

 Web Design

  • posts the latest JRMC news as developed by the Marketing Department
  • creates engaging calendar pages for JRMC events
  • adds metadata to ensure maximum functionality of page/post/event
  • builds, programs and reports on the performance of pop-ups
  • maintains the accuracy of site information
  • builds new pages, including campaign landing pages as needed
  • constantly evaluates and suggests modifications to site to increase value to end user
  • proactively updates site to feature relevant campaigns
  • maximizes the capability of enabled site plug-ins
  • selects and deploys plug-ins to meet JRMC needs
  • builds and maintains online forms and remarkets related information through submission confirmations
  • maintains versions for WordPress, site theme, plug-ins and other elements of site structure
  • executes all design with regard for readability and search engine optimization
  • properly sizes, names and organizes media (photos, files) for intuitive recovering
  • monitors and reports site performance
  • adheres to established budgets for additional web support and premium plug-ins

 Knowledge, skills and experience preferred:

Qualifications

Bachelors in design field preferred.

 

Three+ years of professional experience in graphic and web design. Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite, WordPress, photography and photo editor.
